"Innenstadt" ist ein künstlerisches Essay-Projekt über Erinnerung, Fiktion und Imagination einer europäischen Metropole. Ausgehend von der eigenen Familiengeschichte verbindet die Arbeit dokumentarisches Material mit subjektiven Erzählungen, Skulptur und Virtual Reality.
Im Zentrum steht die Frage, wie Geschichte entsteht: aus Archiven und Dokumenten ebenso wie aus Leerstellen, Projektionen und unerfüllten Möglichkeiten. Zwischen privatem Gedächtnis und kollektiver Zeitgeschichte öffnet sich ein poetischer Raum, in dem sich Vergangenheit nicht als festes Narrativ, sondern als bewegliche Konstruktion zeigt.
“Innenstadt” is an artistic essay project exploring memory, fiction, and the imagination of a European metropolis. Starting from the artist’s own family history, the work combines documentary material with subjective narratives, sculpture, and virtual reality.
At its core is the question of how history is produced: through archives and documents as well as through gaps, projections, and unrealized possibilities.
Between private memory and collective historical consciousness, a poetic space emerges in which the past appears not as a fixed narrative, but as a mutable construction.
